Yesterday I mentioned that drive on HW89 from Flagstaff to Sedona is very scenic. Most of the scenery is really starting from this point and down. Right now we are still almost at Flagstaff level, fairly high altitude, but things are about to change fairly quickly. First you’ll descent down this serpentine road into the canyon and over the next 10+ miles everything will dramatically change. No more snow and the picturesque mountains around Sedona will present themselves in all their glory.
Thanks in Advance!

Great tones in this shot.
That’s quite the hill. Nice photo.
You’ve done a good job.Nice clouds above the hills
Love this area! It is truly beautiful.
Sedona – just an awesome place to be – so beautiful, so spiritual… The decent into the canyon is fabulous.
I love this drive and this entire area. Beautiful capture.
Beautiful shot!!!
Ahh! We lived a few years in Scottsdale and the trips to Sedona were always something to look forward to. I like that you managed to keep the entire scene in focus. A dot too soften but it does work nice.
Did this drive in the heat of summer in 1994. Always regretted that I didn’t stop to take any photos. By the time we got to Sedona I think it was somewhere around 120 degrees and some wise-ass in one of the shops was commenting that she didn’t think it was very hot!
I know this area, my daughter used to live in Prescott. Beautiful, beautiful! Your photos are amazing! ~ Sheila
That is a glorious drive!
I adore this area…one of the most beautiful that I’ve ever experienced…

Beautiful shot! You can’t go wrong with Sedona or Flagstaff. Next time you’re in AZ, check out Jerome. It’s a small quirky town a mile above sea level– it’s close to Flagstaff.
wow!! wonderful shot and beautiful view
Was fortunate enough to do this drive when we visited the US in 2007. It was a fantastic drive and Sedona was stunning
Beautiful, beautiful photography….
Lovely. Thank you for the like of my post “Sun Help Me, My Limbs are Frozen”.
I’m lucky to live in Flagstaff and get to see incredible views like this anytime I like. I think it’s high time I drove the switchbacks again.
